Every year Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI ) has been receiving complaints in service related matters. Giant Telecom operators in India are, Airtel, BSNL, Reliance,TATA and Vodafone. According to the statistics fo TRAI mentioned that during the year 2011-12 service related complaints are recorded as 4,133 (Four thousand one hundred and thirty three only). According the state ministry report the Airtel is in number one position where most of the complaints received by TRAI in service related matter. If we figure out this total number of complaints operator wise the details given as below:-

  • Complaints received on Bharati Airtel: 1,165
  • Complaints received on Vodafone: 654
  • Complaints received on Reliance: 647
  • Complaints received on BSNL: 466
  • Complaints received on TATA: 438
  • Complaints received on IDEA Cellular: 326
  • Complaints received on MTNL: 165
Complaints are lodged under basic telephone services, non compliance with the quality of service, faulty repair attending, metering, billing, network, call drops, mobile related services, call center services, tariff, 60 seconds pulse rate tariff etc.
