Railway Passenger can use upto 30 minutes of Free WiFi service at Central Station

Indian railways launched Free Wifi service at the Chennai Central Station.

Union Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda launched this pilot project and soon rolled out in the other A1 stations across the country.

Now, railway passenger can get Free 30 minutes Wifi service, a senior official said. To avail this service passenger has to make a request when they connect to the wifi it will redirect to billing.railwire.com. The passengers who wish to avail this service for travelling have to register their mobile number in returns receive password through SMS to access Free Wifi services.

Kiosk has opened at the station to serve customers and if passenger after usage of 30 free minutes can buy topup cards using internet banking service at the kiosk. This service is useful for frequent travelers come with a plan for 2, 3 and 5 hours with validity of two weeks.
Kiosk offers wifi services at 512kbps speed and unlimited plan available at Rs.499 per month.
