BSNL eased Tele-verification process for new Mobile connection customers through 1507

BSNL has decided to make simple and easy the method of tele-verification of new mobile customers across the country.

State run Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) made tele-verification process simple and easy by automatic diversion of calls to USSD code ‘1507’ number for new mobile customers.

 As per latest information, after purchase of new SIM mobile connection the customer’s first call made from new mobile SIM BSNL automatically diverting the initial calls to the tele-verification number 1507. 


Therefore, customers no need to by-heart or remember the tele-verification number 1507 further process.

BSNL noticed that in rural areas most of the new mobile customers are not conscious about tele-verification process and thus activation of mobile connection is delaying. Whereas, the call center number for tele-verification process is not unique and is different for each telecom operators. 


BSNL initiated this process not to delay activation process, if any number dialed from the customer will be diverted to tele-verification number 1507 irrespective of the number dialed for tele-verification and once the tele-verification method is complete, the call will be routed as per the actual number dialed by the customer.


As per the DoT (Department of Telecommunication) instructions the tele-verification process is mandatory for new mobile connection customers (Prepaid and Postpaid services). 


Currently, customers need to dial 1507 number for tele-verification of his name, address, POI (Proof of Identity) and POA (Proof of Address). Within 4 hours of tele-verification the SIM will be activated for all outgoing as well incoming calls.
