BSNL IPTV multiple packs start with base price of Rs 100

Public Telecommunications in India Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is likely to offer multiple Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) packages in its Kerala circle with the basic package priced at Rs 100. BSNL launched its IPTV service in various Kerala cities such as Alleppey, Thirssur and Ernakulam as "Pilot project". The trial period is expected to run between August 27, 2020 and October 31, 2020. The operator noted that its bsnl bharat fiber iptv will host 150 Free-to-Air (FTA) channels along with 150 paid channels.

BSNL IPTV Kerala plans to offer more IPTV packs

According to the brochures published in the Thrissur area, the operator is said to offer two bsnl iptv plans priced at Rs 100 and Rs 200 with 34 and 56 pay channels respectively. It should be noted that users who go for bsnl iptv registration before September 10, 2020 will be offered free access to FTA channels for one month.

The basic bsnl iptv tariff plans includes popular Malayalam channels such as Asianet, Asianet Plus, Asianet Movies, Surya TV, Surya Movies, Surya Music, Surya Comedy, Zee Kerala, News 18 Malayalam and Kochu TV. In addition, the base bsnl iptv service package also hosts channels such as Star Sports 1, Star Sports 2, Star Sports 3, Star Sports First, National Geographic, Nat Geo Wild, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and Discovery Kids Channel. Furthermore, DSport, Discovery Jeet, Discovery Science, Discovery Turbo, NDTV 24 × 7, BBC, Times Now, Mirror Now, ET Now, Zoom, Movies Now, MNX, Romedy Now are also included in the base package.

The top tier bundle largely includes the channels from the base bundle along with Sony Yay, Sony BBC Earth, Sony Six, Ten 1, Cartoon Network, CNN International, HBO, Pogo, and WB. Additionally, the tier one package also houses Sun TV, K TV, Sun Music, Jaya TV, Jaya Movies, Mega TV, CNBC TV 18, and NDTV Profit.

Several key elements, such as the network capacity fee and the inclusion of FTA channels, are currently not highlighted in the brochures.

BSNL IPTV pre booking service can be accessed without STB

The brochures also highlight that BSNL users can access the bsnl iptv channels via a dedicated application (bsnl iptv app) available for Smart TVs, mobile phones and Android streaming devices. It has been said that the user can activate and access the service without a dedicated bsnl iptv set top box (STB).

Furthermore, it has been highlighted that the company will reveal more details after bsnl iptv review in the coming days.

BSNL IPTV services are said to be available in Annamanada, Chalakudy, Irinjalakuda and Koratty in the Thrissur district.
