BSNL to launch promotional offer for prepaid mobile customers with account validity expired under GSM mobile services. This offer is also known as one of the bsnl promo code scheme which is applicable to all prepaid mobile bsnl users.
Public Telecommunications company Bharat Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited - BSNL keeping view of upcoming festivals planned to launch of promotional offers for its existing prepaid customers who are under GP2 condition.
Based on the most recent information published on bsnl official website bsnl.co.in, BSNL authorities have decided to allow the incoming messages i.e SMS to all prepaid mobile customers with validity expired account and are currently in grace period 2 status.
However, this facility of incoming SMS is provided who's prepaid account validity period is expired and only to prepaid mobile customers residing in the regions of North and West Zones. At the same time, BSNL has decided restricted this facility the incoming SMS facility to all prepaid mobile customers with expired validity account in the regions of East and South Zones.
BSNL Promotional offers/schemes announced from time to time for prepaid subscribers as said above will be available for limited period of 60 days starting from 6 September 2021 in all telecommunications circles.

As per BSNL official statement on the launch of promotional offers for prepaid mobile customers who prepaid account mobile number is inactive and under grace period 2 (GP2) status reads as follows: -
- North and West INs can have an incoming SMS service with GP2 customers for a period of 60 days under promotional prepaid offer.
- South Zone and East Zone IN this scheme of incoming SMS to GP2 customers for a period of 60 days launched for promotional basis and promote/encourage GP2 customers on VLR to recharge and become active customers.
Terms and conditions: -
- South Zone/East Zone can temporarily restore incoming SMS facility to GP2 customers of bsnl prepaid to send SMS messages on VLR to facilitate recharging.
- However, this incoming SMS offer should not be allowed to GP2 customers in VLR for more than 3 consecutive days.
- In any case, the Outgoing Voice / SMS sending of GP2 customers may not be allowed. It should always be restricted and cap the limit to GP2 customers.
The above promotional offer will be available and applicable for a period of 60 days from 09-06-2021 onwards. The implementation of the bsnl tariffs will be carried out following the 43rd Amendment of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India - TRAI orders/guidelines/clarifications issued from time to time.
Prepaid mobile customers with expired validity can activate any bsnl plan extension recharge or bsnl plan validity extension special vouchers according to their needs.
- Under North Zone (NZ) telecom circles: - Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh (O), Uttar Pradesh (E), and Uttaranchal.
- Under South Zone (SZ) telecom circles: - Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh
- Under West Zone (WZ) telecom circles: - Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.
- Under East Zone (EZ) telecom circles: - Andaman and Nicobar, Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Calcutta, Northeast I, Northeast II, Orissa, and West Bengal.
BSNL TARIFF suggestion:
Instead of recharge every month and avoid prepaid number disconnection it is better to go for one year validity prepaid plans or half year bsnl prepaid recharge plans (BSNL Prepaid plan vouchers).
BSNL already launched annual and half-year validity prepaid plans, which offers truly unlimited voice call, unlimited data usage with FUP limit, SMS benefits and extra third-party service account access at free of cost.
