Three Major Telecom companies hiked data tariff to download 1GB data

Big telecom players in Indian Bharati Airtel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular have share equally pushing up the cost of using mobile internet services in certain tariff plans on data downloads under 2G mobile services. All the three companies occupies 53 per cent market share in telecom sector decided to rationalize tariff on specific plans in terms of reducing validity or download quantum. In this course the customers of the above telecom companies have to pay 25 per cent extra amount to download 1GB data (or 1024MB), reduced to 525MB.

Bharati Airtel Customers have to pay Rs.156 on usage of 1GB internet data.
Delhi Circle Idea Cellular customers have to pay Rs.154 to be used within validity 28 days for 1GB.
Vodafone customers have to pay Rs.155 for use of internet data within 30 days validity.
In addition to the above giant mobile network Bharati Airtel has reduced validity of Rs.98 packs from 28 days to 14 days with limited data usage.

Recently BSNL also rationalized its prepaid tariff and data plans tariff in terms of replacing old vouchers with newer. 
Telecom Operators are acting on the directions proposed by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
