BSNL launches WiFi Mobile Data Offload Services for Prepaid and Postpaid customers

BSNL Chairman and Managing Director Anupam Srivastava launched WiFi Mobile Data Offload Services to enhance user experience.
Most trusted Telecom brand Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) launched WiFi Mobile Data Offload Services officially in Bangaluru for both Prepaid plans and Postpaid plans customers under mobile services inaugurated by BSNL CMD Anupam Srivastava.

At BSNL premises in Bengaluru was organized and participated P.Nagaraju (CGM of Karnataka Circle), NK Gupta (Director CFA) in this event. After launch of BSNL QuadGen WiFi Mobile Data Offload services Karnatka Circle became the first state services offering across the country.


Under WiFi Mobile Data Offload service BSNL customer can access high speed WiFi data services whenever they enters WiFi hotspot zone. After off-loading mobile data traffic to WiFi hotspot, mobile users can continue to use their mobile data plan but for accessing internet they start using robust and high capacity back end connectivity of WiFi hotspot. 

Launching Mobile Data Offload services by BSNL CMD Anupam Srivastava, said, ‘Due to unavailability of equipment BSNL was pushed backward from 2006 to 2012, even though being number one mobile operator in India from 2002 to 2006. But, things have changed rapidly and by utilizing the infrastructure available and introduction of Data service the things have changed and Rs.672 core operational profit was earned for the first time in Financial Year 2014-15 after loss of Rs.691 crore in 2013-14 Financial year’.


CMD also added, ‘BSNL has started earning operational profit from 2014-2015 and it is expected to start earning net profit by 2018-19 financial year’.

BSNL in association with M/s QuadGen Wireless solutions in southern and western states plans to install 2500 Public WiFi hotspots by the end of 31st March and 700 hotspots were already installed. 


BSNL QuadGen WiFi services will offer Ultra fast which is four times faster speed and available to both prepaid and postpaid mobile customers.
