BSNL planning to increase their postpaid mobile customer base to 10 per cent in one year after noticing bill payment problem is one of the issues for decline in postpaid revenue across India.
India’s most trusted telecom brand Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has taken planned measures to double its Postpaid revenue and Postpaid customer base upto 10 per cent by providing a facility wherein bills can be paid at over 5 lakh of its franchises or retailers all the 7 days in a week.
Most of the customers are using BSNL Portal site for paying Landline/FTTH/DID, Postpaid mobile/Wimax postpaid bills online using their Credit or Debit card. At the same time BSNL mobile customers are recharging their desired recharge vouchers at BSNL portal online with registration or without registration option.
At present, 5 per cent of BSNL's users are postpaid as most of them prefer prepaid due to hassle in bill payment. Customers had to pay the bills at BSNL customer service center and counters making a huge line during working hours only, which used to be a problem for working professionals and business persons. The State-run company had 9.48 crore wireless subscribers at the end of February 2014.
Across the country BSNL has a network of around 5 lakh franchisees and retailers. The new facility will enables users to pay bills all the 7 days and also during Government Holidays. No additional amount will be charged from customers for using this facility. Queue
