BSNL planning to launch 5G Services instead of 4G services in HimachalPradesh

BSNL plans to launch 5G services in HP Circle
Largest Landline service provider BSNL to retain competition in the fast-changing telecom market has planned to launch 5G services in the Himachal Pradesh telecom circle.

State run Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to launch its 4G services at Baddi in Solan district of HP circle and 3G services in the rest of the areas covering 30K new landline connections and 31K broadband connections for the entire state subscriber base, reported on Zeebiz


As per latest information, Chief General Manager (CGM)of HP Circle Shri Ravi Kant said, ‘BSNL is planning to launch 5G services in Himachalpradesh instead of 4G services as its main aim is to provide better and fastest services to its customers compare to other private telecom operators in India’. 


BSNL is working to provide telecom service in every nook and corner of the state and during the current fiscal year around 30K new landline and 31K broadband connections would be released, he also added.


He also said, all C-dot exchanges in state will be upgraded with Next Generation Network systems (NGN) within this fiscal and 20K ports have been approved for this project. To strengthen mobile and internet services in HP telecom circle 100 off-load and 134 USO hotspots will be installed.
