Tech Mahindra is the fifth largest IT service company likely to participate in BSNL 4G Launch tender and makes half of its revenue by serving telecommunications companies.
India's fifth largest IT service company, Tech Mahindra, is participating into the tender reviewed by BSNL to supply BSNL 4G equipment.
He also added that the technology is mature and that the network transition can be done to create enough bandwidth.
Last week BSNL canceled the 4G launch tender
Since the Indian government has banned Chinese telecommunications manufacturers from supplying telecommunication equipment to state-owned BSNL and MTNL telcos, BSNL canceled the offer last week to update its existing networks at 47 network sites. Not only that, but the state-owned telecommunications company is also working on creating new features in Delhi and Mumbai for MTNL.When the state-owned company Telco canceled the tender, the Chinese telecommunications equipment manufacturer ZTE joined Nokia to present an offer, which amounts to around Rs 9 billion.
C.P. Gurnani also noted that the Tech Mahindra-led business association would offer a virtual network. Tech Mahindra already earns half of its revenue by serving various telecommunications companies such as BT Plc, AT&T and many others.
Tech Mahindra is looking for a Global market
Tech Mahindra and ITI are planning to dive into the global market with their 4G and 5G equipment. The process will be based on the success of the BSNL 4G tender and the implementation of the solution. In 2018 Tech Mahindra invested in the American company Altiostar, which develops software that offers virtual solutions for 4G and 5G networks. Telecommunications companies, with the help of Altiostar solutions, can build an end-to-end cloud network. C.P. Gurnani noted that Tech Mahindra is awaiting the new tender and association for the internal market.
In addition, the company will globalize the solution for international markets.
