BSNL request Stop using M/s Ookla hosted Broadband Speed Test Servers

BSNL announced to withdraw Broadband Speed Test Servers hosted partner with M/s Ookla for Broadband customers.

State run Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) requested all Broadband customers not use M/s Ookla Speed test servers hosted for testing.

As per latest information, BSNL activate new four speed test server site for Broadband customers (ADSL / VDSL / FTTH / WiMax / 3G) in four zones earlier in October 2015. It has been observed by the BSNL management that M/s Ookla exclusively made agreement with BSNL to host speed test servers on their webpage but, M/s Ookla Company is advertising BSNL’s competitors on the same web page along with BSNL servers.

M/s Ookla has ruined the agreement therefore; BSNL has decided to stop the above speed test server sites which were hosted in association with M/s Ookla. Simultaneously, BSNL has requested all its Broadband customers not to use these server sites for testing purpose in future.

BSNL Withdrawn Broadband Speed test server sites

BSNL to resolve broadband speed complaints as well to check speed has commissioned the above speed test server sites for broadband customers. These servers used to analyze the slow speed complaints of customers and to take remedial actions in BSNL Broadband network elements.
