BSNL Postpaid customers under plan Rakshak for Central Paramilitary Groups can migrate other plans

Postpaid mobile plan Rakshak and Special Paramilitary plans withdrawn
State run Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) was introduced Postpaid mobile plan Rakshak for Central Paramilitary Groups like CRPF, ITBP, BSF, BRO etc., and all Armed forces like Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air force cum Coast Guard and all Railway protection force under GSM mobile services.

BSNL according to the 43rd Amendment of TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) instructions / guidelines issued from time to time has decided to withdraw Rakshak Postpaid plan or Postpaid plan for Paramilitary forces which is available across India in all telecom circles BSNL customers service centers. From 1st May, 2018 onwards this plan will not be available to our beloved Central paramilitary groups.


  • Under this plan, two SIMs (Main SIM and Home SIM) will be issued / activated from the same CSC of the circle and bill payments can be made in the home circle. In case of specific request from Customer for USIM Rs.59 will be charged.
  • FMC of Rs.299 is the total fixed monthly charges for two postpaid connections. All postpaid tariff plans applicable for main number, except incoming call while roaming, will be the same for home number.
  • Above personnel using BSNL connection and Port-in customers will also be allowed to activate the special plan subject to verification of credential.
  • The credential of the above personnel is to be verified before activating the plans by taking a photocopy of his Identity Card issued duly attested by his controlling officer. A self-certificate indicating that no other connection is active in his name under this special plan anywhere in India is also to be taken.

  • Paramilitary force officers using BSNL connection and Port-in customers will be allowed to migrate to this plan free of charge.
  • Goods and Service Tax (GST) as applicable will be charged extra.


Finally, BSNL request all the above Postpaid plan subscribers to reach nearest BSNL Customer Care and enquiry about affordable Postpaid plan which suits for them to migrate. 

All other terms and conditions will remain the same.
