Why BSNL Prepaid recharge plan 186 withdrawn? Check reasons

BSNL unlimited 186 plan withdraw from New Year 2021 1st January onwards in all telecom circles for prepaid plan customers.

Public Telecommunications company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited - BSNL In continuation to the launch of new prepaid recharge plan 199 and also extra data usage on 998 for prepaid mobile users on account of Christmas 2020 festival has announced the withdrawal of its current bsnl mobile 186 plan    which is effective from January 1st, 2021 onwards on PAN India basis.

The BSNL Prepaid Mobile Plan voucher 186 offers unlimited calling (250 minutes per day with FUP condition), unlimited data (2GB per day with FUP condition) and 100 free SMS / day with 28 days validity (calendar days). Customers bsnl with the Rs 186 prepaid plan can avail all of the above freebies anywhere in India including the MTNL network areas of Delhi and Mumbai. BSNL prepaid mobile customers can activate the bsnl 186 recharge plan until December 31, 2020.

Why BSNL withdrawn bsnl unlimited 186 plan for prepaid users?

This is the routine process of all telecom operators to withdraw existing unpopular or no-demand recharge plan vouchers according to the regulations of TRAI. Telecom companies mainly focus on its revenue share and mobile connections increase. One of the main reason to introduce new prepaid packs based according to the customer requirement and customers feedback received from all the field unit offices also recharge data base report.

The above bsnl 186 tariff plan will be withdrawn starting January 1st 2021 and will not be available in any bsnl telecom circle. The implementation of the telecom tariffs of bsnl will take place in accordance with the 43rd amendment to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) orders / guidelines / clarifications issued from time to time.

What happens to customers already recharged with bsnl 186 plan?

This mean for existing customers in the 186 Prepaid Plan will continue to enjoy the all the freebies / benefits until the existing plan expires. After the expiration, customers can recharge their prepaid account number with any other existing plan voucher available in telecom circles (Check latest Prepaid tariff plans and Offers) or newly launched prepaid recharge plan Rs 199 according to their requirement or usage.

Whether this prepaid tariff plan change is applicable to other telecommunication circles or specific circles?

The withdrawal of the bsnl 186 pack is applicable in all telecommunication circles and bsnl 186 plan benefits will not be available from January 1st, 2021 onwards to recharge prepaid account.
