BSNL will launch new Free OTT Subscription unlimited Bharat Fiber Broadband (FTTH) plans of Rs 449 and speeds up to 300 Mbps available from 1st October 2020

More cheers for BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH) customers across India as Pubic telecommunications in India Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) one of the strategic plans to launch new unlimited Bharat Fiber Broadband monthly rental broadband plan over FTTH along with a free OTT subscription starting at Rs 449 to compete with Jio Fiber.

According to the latest information, BSNL's new Bharat fiber unlimited plans will offer a maximum speed of up to 300 Mbps. Most likely, BSNL will launch the proposed new plans on the day of their foundation, which is October 1st 2020. The proposed plans are: Fiber Basic, Fiber Value, Fiber Premium and Fiber Ultra. The BSNL Bharat Fiber Basic plan will offer a download speed of 30 Mbps, while the Fiber Value plan offers a speed of 100 Mbps. In addition, the PSU also plans to launch two ultra-fast fiber broadband plans, Fiber Premium and Fiber Ultra. with download speeds of 200 Mbps and 300 Mbps respectively. These two high-end plans will be combined with the Free Hotstar Premium subscription. As for the free data usage limit, all of these plans will offer a high FUP usage limit similar to that of the Jio Fiber plans.

However, BSNL plans to roll out these new bsnl bharat fiber broadband plans only in select areas where competition is extremely high. BSNL starts Fiber IPTV service Registration on PAN India

BSNL starts Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) services in Kerala telecom circle for registration online India and offers free access to the FTA package to users who register for the IPTV service before September 10th.

Public telecommunications in India Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) officially launched its Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) services in its Kerala telecom circle on its official website. The IPTV service was launched on trial in selected cities of the BSNL Kerala circle, such as Ernakulam and Alappuzha. 

The trial period is expected to be between August 27, 2020 and October 31, 2020. BSNL has highlighted that users who sign up for the IPTV service before September 10, 2020 will receive an early booking offer. BSNL IPTV service was initially introduced in the Kerala bsnl telecom cirlce earlier this year. 

However, BSNL's IPTV service remained a "non-starter" in the region due to the lack of an "acceptable revenue sharing formula" between BSNL, the IPTV service provider and the local cable operator (LCO).

BSNL launches IPTV service in Kerala

BSNL stressed that its IPTV service will be offered through the Bharat Fiber platform in Ernakulam, Alappuzha and Thrissur. The operator said its IPTV service will host 150 free bsnl iptv channels (FTA) along with 150 pay channels.

Essentially, users who register for BSNL's IPTV service before September 10, 2020 will be offered free access to the FTA package for one month.

The operator noted that Cinesoft will act as a technology partner, while Bhoomika Digital will act as a content partner. It has also been said that BSNL's IPTV users can access the service on Android Box, Android TV and mobile devices.

As per reported on press media, BSNL hasn't unveiled its IPTV plans. However, the operator pointed out that the "easy to use" packages will be available for its IPTV users.

BSNL opens registration across India for BSNL IPTV service

Meanwhile, BSNL has opened a portal dedicated to Bharat Fiber users to subscribe to the IPTV service. The dedicated portal allows BSNL users from Ernakulam, Alappuzha and Thrissur, along with BSNL users across India, to register for the IPTV service. The state-owned telecommunications operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) created the Digital Gram Sewaks initiative in which local entrepreneurs in rural areas provide Bharatfibre connections to rural families, using the BSNL network.

As part of the initiative, BSNL customers receive speeds up to 100 MBps and data download options are available daily from 5 GB to 50 GB per day.

As per BSNL Website and a statement release in press media, stated that local partners will receive revenue sharing to keep the last mile of connectivity with customers.

"We are encouraging our local entrepreneurs in rural areas to work with BSNL and reduce this digital divide using the best BSNL technologies that provide quality Internet services even in the corners of remote areas in India," said BSNL Official.
BSNL is asking all state governments to support this BSNL initiative project and make this program a great success.

"State governments are also encouraged to use this high-speed platform to implement e-government initiatives, including electronic health, digital terrestrial documentation, electronic medicine and all possible ways to revive the rural economy." declared Vivek Banzal, CFA BSNL director.

Much has changed and many more should change in the country's broadband market in the coming months. The news of the commercial launch of the GigaFiber Jio service, which took place in March 2019, has led to rival companies to develop better projects and offers. While old players like Airtel and ACT Fibernet that offer fiber to the home (FTTH) have already improved their game by changing existing plans or expanding the operational area, the state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam, also known as BSNL has also joined the tender high-speed broadband now launching Bharat Fiber.

Bharat Fiber will offer high-speed data and Wi-Fi connectivity to subscribers. BSNL planned to counter Jio GigaFiber and Airtel V-Fiber with the launch of Bharat Fiber. Online registrations for the Bharat fiber have already been started on the Selfcare BSNL portal. It is said that the service offers data of 35GB internet usage per day at a price lower than 1.1 rupees per GB. The company says its fiber connectivity provides a fixed access platform to offer high-speed broadband from 256 Kbps to 100 Mbps.

What is BSNL Broadband on Bharat Fiber?

Before understanding the Broadband on Bharat fiber, it is important to understand what the FTTH service is. Fiber to the home or FTTH is the technology to bring high-speed Internet services using fiber optics directly from home operator switching equipment. BSNL Bharat Fiber will offer a high-speed Internet service at home using optical fibers that replace the existing cable infrastructure. The company will extend the fiber from the location of the nearest central office (CO), directly or through the franchisee and install HONT and battery backup locations identified by the customer. BSNL technical persons will setup a home optical network named Home Optical Network Termination (HONT) modem with four Ethernet ports of each 100 Mbps and two standard telephone ports at home. Each port will provide 100 Mbps broadband, IPTV, video IP calls and lease, as requested by customer lines. The company also provides a power supply with a full four-hour backup and a normal three-day backup along with HONT.

What are the Internet services that can be enjoyed through the Bharat fiber?

Internet services through Bharat fiber, as indicated on the bsnl's website are: IP TV service (MPEG2), Video on Demand (VoD) (MPEG4) and VCR, audio on demand, bandwidth on demand (user and / or configurable service), online distance education, point-to-point and point-to-multipoint videoconferencing, virtual classroom, voice telephony and video over IP: connection under control of switches centrally located software, interactive games, telephony services to broadband, dial-up Virtual Private Network and virtual private LAN service (VPLS).

Charges for activation or installation for Bharat Fiber?

No, BSNL not charging any type of charges for the activation or the charge for the installation. However, Rs 500 must be paid as a security deposit only once for the optical network terminal (ONT) which is returned when the ONT returns in working condition. ONT charges If hired for rent is Rs 90 per month and Rs 1,080 per year. This is if you take the ONT instrument. ONT with the cost of ADSL Wi-Fi modem will cost 200 rupees per month and a security deposit of Rs 1500. Any DSL broadband plan, with a value of Rs 375 and above is applied in Bharat fiber (FTTH).

What are the Bharat Fiber monthly retnal plans?

Plans start at Rs 777 to Rs 16999 per month. 18GB plan costs Rs 777 per month, 25 GB plan at Rs 1,277 per month, plan for Rs 2499 40GB, 50GB plan at Rs 3999, Rs 5999 80GB, 120GB and 170GB at Rs 9999 at Rs 16999.

As per latest information, Unlimited FTTH Broadband plans Fibro Combo ULD 777 offers 50Mbps download speed whereas Fibro Combo ULD 1277 offers download speed upto 100Mbps to new and existing subscribers across India.

On Monthly rental Unlimited FTTH Broadband plan of Rs.777/- connection subscribers can access internet speed upto 50Mbps till 500GB and beyond the limit speed reduced to 2Mbps following Fair Usage Policy. Another Monthly rental Unlimited FTTH Broadband plan of Rs.1277/- connection subscribers can access internet speed upto 100MBps till 750GB and beyond the limit speed reduced to 2Mbps following FUP.

As per latest information, high broadband speed provider BSNL Fibro Combo ULD 777 offers Unlimited free data usage upto 500GB with 50Mbps speed following FUP and thereafter broadband speed reduced to 2Mbps automatically. At monthly rental broadband setup at Rs.777/- can avail 50Mbps speed, 1GB space of one Free Email ID under FTTH broadband plans. In addition broadband internet subscriber also get one additional benefit of 24 hours unlimited free calling (Local/STD) voice calls to any network within India. However broadband internet connection provider will collect one month rental charges against security deposit.

In addition, broadband network BSNL also provides flexibility payment option of One year Rs.8547/-, Two years Rs.16317/-, Three years Rs.23310/-, under this payment option broadband plan user also get monthly rental discount upto one, three, six months.

BSNL Launches new Postpaid Broadband plan ‘BBG Combo 7500 CS262’ and revised download speed upto 4Mbps for existing Broadband plans

High-speed internet service provider BSNL has announced the launch of new Monthly rental Combo Broadband plan and revised the existing Broadband postpaid plans bandwidth for Broadband users under Broadband services.

State run Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) extending its network and services across the country competing with private telecom players launches new Fixed Monthly Rental (FMC) Broadband plan ‘BBG Combo 7500 CS262’ which offers 4Mbps speed data usage till 225GB and Unlimited voice calls to any network @ 7500 monthly rental across Andaman and Nicobar Telecom Circle.

As per latest information, BSNL competent authority enhanced the existing FMC Broadband plans download speed from 2Mbps to 4Mbps following fair usage policy (FUP). Under this new Broadband postpaid plan 7500 offers, 4MBps bandwidth (download speed) upto 4Mbps till 225GB thereafter data usage limited to 512Kbps with monthly rental charges of Rs.7500 per month. In addition users will also get another benefit of Unlimited free voice calls to any network between 10:30PM to 06:00AM with in India. However, BSNL will collect one month FMC charges against Security deposit.

Enhanced existing Broadband download speed details
The existing Postpaid Broadband plans ranging from Rs.350 to 5000 are available in Andaman and Nicobar circle offering download limit from 2GB to 125GB with download speed from 2Mbps to 4Mbs. Customer should note that beyond monthly free data usage download speed is restricted to 512Kbps. 

Since, all the DSL broadband plans are available on FTTH with same tariff, above plans shall also be available on FTTH with same bsnltariff according to the 43rd Amendment of TRAI instructions/guidelines from time to time.

Existing FTTH BSNL Voice/Broadband plans Security Deposit charges revised from 1st November, 2017

BSNL has announced the rationalization of Security deposit charges for Broadband plans (Voice/data) under FTTH services on PAN India basis.

State run Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has revised its existing FTTH (Fiber to the Home) Broadband plans (voice/data) from 1st November, 2017 in all telecom circles.

As per latest information, BSNL is all set to restore its broadband/fiber broadband services across the country has decided to upgrade its broadband plans to offer minimum speed of 8Mbps pre-FUP download for Broadband plan users.

In this connection BSNL has revised the existing security deposit charges collecting for FTTH broadband plans to provide wide range of data services with maximum speed.

Note: Under FTTH Broadband Standalone and Combo Broadband plans no separate Security deposit charges for landline shall be levied.

The above rationalization will be implemented with effect from 1st November, 2017 onwards in all telecom circles and revised Security deposit charges will be collected for new connections.

As per latest information, BSNL has announced the launch of special one month rental discount for new customers those who are register their Landline, Broadband and FTTH (Fiber Broadband) connections through BSNL’s Official Social accounts.

Under this scheme BSNL is offering One month Free high speed Broadband internet service from BSNL which starts from 2nd June, 2017 in all telecom circles. Only New BSNL Landline / Broadband / FTTH connection booking customers are eligible to avail this discount of One month free rental. Users can visit BSNL Social accounts on Facebook and Twitter and book their new connection and get One month free High-speed internet and voice calling without any charges as per BSNL available plans.

BSNL Promotional offer for booking of new connection through Social media platforms
To promote BSNL services on social media, the competent authority has decided as follows:-
To waive off fixed monthly rental charges under Landline / DSL / FTTH plan for the first month only, for the customers booked through social media (Facebook/Twitter) on PAN India basis on promotional basis for a period of 90 days.
Separate link will be created by BSNL on Social media platforms ( Twitter and Facebook).

BSNL launches 20Mbps speed Unlimited Fiber Unlimited Broadband plans BB ULD 1045 and BB ULD 1395 from 1st June, 2017

High-speed internet service provider BSNL has announced the launch of two new Unlimited Broadband plans under FTTH services at 20Mbps speed. 

State run Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) introduces 20Mbps speed Unlimited Fiber Broadband plans ‘Fibro ULD 1045 CS48’ and ‘Fibro ULD 1395 CS49’ across Kerala Telecom circles from 1st June, 2017 onwards.

As per latest information, BSNL highest revenue generating Kerala circle has decided to introduce two new Unlimited Broadband plans based on demand for high-speed internet services under FTTH services. However, these new Broadband plans will be available in limited districts of Kerala circle like, Alapuzha, Kannur, Kollam, Kottayam, Malappuram and Pathanamthitta of Kerala State.  

Under this plan, subscribed user will get 20Mbps speed internet usage upto 50GB / 75GB and beyond the speed will be limited to 1Mbps. BSNL provides Annual, Two years, Three years payment option with discount of FMC charges upto 6 months. However, under these plans additional facility benefits will not be provided for subscribed users.

The above new Broadband schemes will be implemented with effect from 1st June, 2017 onwards across Kerala Telecom circle on regular basis.

Note: The above plans are already available in districts, Trivendrum, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad and Calicut of Kerala state.

BSNL Fiber Broadband services offering 100% discount for new FTTH Broadband customers upto 31st March, 2017

BSNL has announced the special discount offer for new FTTH Broadband customers on Installation charges under Broadband services in all Telecom circles.

State run Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) offering hundred per cent discount on Installation charges for new Fiber to The Home (FTTH) Broadband customers from 23rd January, 2017 onwards as promotional basis.

As per latest information, BSNL competent authority based on demand report from various units and customers for Broadband services has decided to offer Free Installation for new FTTH connections on PAN India basis. New customers may avail this BSNL Broadband services with Zero Initial charges during offer period. Free Installation offer is applicable to Voice, Broadband and Combo plans provided through optical fiber cable (OFC) in all telecom circles.

Based on BSNL official report, the existing Installation charges Rs.750/- for new Broadband/Voice connections will be waived-off during offer period. Similarly, Installation charges Rs.750 + Rs.250 for New FTTH connection having Voice and Broadband will be waived-off during offer period. Whereas, Provisioning of Broadband service (connection) over the existing voice service the installation charges Rs.250/- will remain the same and charged.

Note: If ONT (Optical Modem) is taken on rent from BSNL or ONT is purchased by the customer from outside and installation by BSNL.

The above offer will be available upto 31st March, 2017 in all Telecom Circles under FTTH Broadband services (Fiber to The Home services).
