Public Telecommunications Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited - BSNL joined the Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) as the first mobile operator in the prepaid recharge category.

Recently BSNL Selfcare new portal mobile application launched for Prepaid customer for recharges, to know existing plans, migration plans, recharge friends and family number and Postpaid bill payment etc.

In June 2021, RBI (Reserve Bank of India) published a circular focusing primarily on expanding the coverage and scope of the Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) by enabling prepaid recharge as a billing category. With this latest development, BSNL prepaid mobile customers can use the BHIM UPI app to easily recharge their numbers.

Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) is an integrated online bill payment platform established by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). 

Bharat Bill Payment System began operating in 2014 as a platform to automate the payment of bills for five different types of bills: Direct To Home (DTH), electricity bill, gas, telecommunications and water.

 The recently added mobile prepaid recharge feature will allow BSNL to easily update its mobile prepaid recharge plans and make them available to all its customers through millions of touchpoints, including physical apps / websites / channels enabled with Bharat BillPay. .

In statement Shri Pravin Kumar Puwar, CMD, BSNL sai, “We happily announce that the first biller to join the BBPS prepaid recharge category is BSNL and look forward to expanding our services to our consumers on the platform nationwide. Consumers can easily recharge their BSNL mobile prepaid plans through a myriad of easy-to-access channels".

On this event, Shri Chaturvedi N, CEO of NPCI Bharat Bill Pay Ltd said, “We welcome public telecom company BSNL as the first telecom company to include on our platform under new segment of prepaid number recharges. Adding prepaid mobile recharges to BBPS would provide consumers with a convenient, consistent and secure transaction experience. We hope to bring more operators into this category and further strengthen the ecosystem. Our ongoing commitment will be to build a diversified ecosystem, in partnership with Billers, Banks and Fintechs alike".

What is the Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS)?

Bharat's bill payment system is a conceptualized ecosystem of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) powered by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). It is a one-stop-shop ecosystem for all recurring invoices providing an interoperable and accessible "anytime, anywhere" recurring payment service for all customers across India with certainty, reliability and security of transactions.

The Bharat bill payment system or Bharat Bill pay has multiple payment methods and provides instant payment confirmation via SMS or a receipt with a security symbol. 

Offers repetitive payments of all kinds such as electricity, telecommunications, DTH, gas, water bills, insurance premium, loan repayments, cable, FASTag recharge, tuition, credit card, city tax, mortgage subscription fees, housing company , etc. through a single window. 

An effective mechanism for handling consumer complaints has also been put in place to assist consumers with any billing issues at BBPS.

The new prepaid mobile charging category combines segments such as telecommunications, electricity, DTH gas, tuition, city taxes, water, insurance, loan repayments, subscription fees, among others. Bharat Bill Pay is also in advanced talks with other telecom operators to bring them to the platform, which will provide additional options and channels for their mobile prepaid recharges.

Public Telecommunications Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited - BSNL has begun printing the name and contact telephone number of the responsible cluster-in-charge, as well as the special Officer for Accounts, on extra billing invoices issued to Bharat Fiber and Fixed Line (FTTH) customers. 

This move will really help customers as they can contact affected BSNL officials with their bsnl broadband excess billing complaints or service related complaints without the need to visit BSNL customer service center during these pandemic days.

If you have a problem with the bsnl services, you can report it directly to the responsible Cluster in-charge whose office name and telephone number will be printed on the second page of your telephone bill. Likewise, for billing related issues, customers can directly call the Account Officer (Telecom Revenue) in their area, which will also be printed on the bsnl bill payment invoice. 

According to the most recent information, BSNL has started this new initiative since August 2021 in the in all telecommunications circles. In other words, BSNL telephone bills issued after August 2021 will contain the name and contact telephone number of the bsnl area manager and bsnl area account officer.

It was decided to make it mandatory to print the name and fixed telephone number of the Telecom Revenue Accounts Officer area office who is responsible to resolve the bsnl bill invoices generated or issued to customers for fixed network, broadband and FTTH services.

BSNL's corporate office has already mandated telecommunications circles to ensure that area and cluster wise data are shared with their respective BSNL data center, in order to allow printing of these details on invoices to be issued starting August 2021. In the event of any subsequent changes to the above details from time to time, the updated details will also be immediately provided to the respective BSNL Data Center to facilitate printing of current contact details on invoices.

BSNL started new Contact less Helpline Services in August 2021!

We checked and confirmed the same on the latest BSNL phone bill issued in August 2021. On that invoice on the second page, we found the name and contact number of the BSNL officer in our area.
However, we cannot find the accountant's name and contact number (TR) on the last invoice issued in August 2021. 

Indeed, it is clearly written on the invoice itself that we must contact the Telecom Revenue Accounts Officer for bsnl within 60 days of from the date of bill generated in related to billing complaints like excess or any other service charges etc., in the invoice or complaint about billing. But the sad part is that the BSNL invoice does not contain information on the name or contact number of the TR BSNL Accounts Officer in related to raise complaint for billing complaints.

Paying monthly internet bills of is not big task now, BSNL eased the services for paying bills through its outsourcing Customer Service Centers across India.

 

Public Telecommunications Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited - BSNL's FTTH customers typically pay their broadband plans internet bills via the BSNL bill payment portal or the My BSNL app.

Most the limited companies or retail shops or few customers having broadband ftth connection customers who always prefer to pay their monthly rental bills through BSNL Customer Service Centers (BSNL CSC) instead of pay bsnl bill online. 

BSNL strategically moving in broadband market for rendering its services in all telecommunications circles opting channel partners for providing new Bharat Fiber (FTTH) connections / fault rectification via franchisees / TIP (telecommunication infrastructure provider) / LCO / MSO. 

In addition to sales, marketing, procurement and maintenance, these FTTH franchisees can also collect BSNL FTTH (Bharat Fiber) bills directly from their customers.

BSNL Employees opting BSNL VRS scheme few years ago, most BSNL Customer Service Centers (BSNL CSCs) have been outsourced to operate and collect revenue / bills from customers. 

Payment of FTTH BSNL bills was not possible from such Customer Service Centers (BSNL Outsourced Customer Service Centers) if FTTH connections were provided by Franchisee / LCO BSNL. 

Large number of BSNL FTTH broadband customers facing problems and difficulties for payment of broadband bill, especially seniors who always rely on BSNL's Customer Service Centers for paying their bills.

Now, based on the response from BSNL FTTH customers and the recommendations of the field units, the BSNL authorities have decided to allow the payment of BSNL FTTH (Bharat Fiber) bills also through CSC BSNL in outsourcing. 

The ability to accept payment of FTTH bills has been made available to BSNL's CSCs in outsourcing as of August 16, 2021 in all telecommunications circles.

BSNL's outsourced CSCs use the CBP Wallet system to collect payments from fixed and broadband customers. They can now use their existing CBP wallet system to accept payment of FTTH bills as well. However, there is a problem with the above bill payment scheme for BSNL FTTH affiliates. 

BSNL is already offering commission to outsourced CSCs for collecting fixed / broadband / mobile phone bills from customers. In case of payment of the BSNL FTTH (Bharat Fiber) bill, the commission payable to CSC in outsourcing will be deducted from the amount of the BSNL FTTH / LCO / MSO revenue share. 

BSNL will deduct the commission payable to CSC in outsourcing as FTTH Partner Collection Fee from the monthly bill prepared through the FMS system.

Accepting BSNL FTTH (Bharat Fiber) bills through all BSNL Customer Service Centers (Direct / Outsourced Customer Service Centers) is indeed a welcome move by BSNL. This will certainly increase the revenue collection performance of the power supply in the coming months. 

Customers who are familiar with paying bills online can use the BSNL payment portal or the My BSNL app during these pandemic days. BSNL FTTH partners can directly collect the bill amount from their customers and make the payment via their FTTH Wallet app.

In support to Digital India and Make in India BSNL is digitalizing its payment services partnering with banking sectors and eased customers to pay online bill and online recharge from mobile device. 

State run Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) under digitalization of India launches new bill payment services and online recharge system through UPI based payment services in association with M/s Federal Bank.

From time to time updates, BSNL mobile users can utilize this service for payment of bills (Landline / Broadband / Postpaid mobile) and recharge STVs, plan vouchers for Prepaid services etc. BSNL customers need to have one UPI (Unified Payment Interface) virtual ID to avail this service. The procedure for bill payment and recharging mobile voucher step by step procedure as given below:

• Customer need to Log on to BSNL Portal ( https://portal2.bsnl.in or Use My BSNL App
• Enter their mobile / Landline details and proceed for payment
• From the listed payment options, select ‘UPI based payment’ and proceed
• Enter your UPI Virtual ID and submit
• Click on notification received in your UPI APP and authorize the payment
• Payment confirmation will be automatically displayed

BSNL user payment automatically made from the UPI linked bank account and this is easiest way to recharge and pay bills using UPI payment services.

As all you know that using UPI Virtual ID use can easily transfer money from one bank to another bank without having any bank account number and IFSC code. This UPI system based service which is introduced by Government of India to where all the banking services i.e banks are linked to this App and converts any transaction into easiest way for payment of any bills etc.

BSNL launched automated bill collection cum ATM machine for paying BSNL monthly bills in cash

BSNL has come up with innovative technique using highest technology by installing its first ever automated bill collection ‘Cash Recycling Machine cum ATM’ to pay bills in cash.

State run Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in association with M/s Hitachi Payment Services Limited has launched ‘Bill collection ATM Machine’ where customers can pay bills in cash through this ‘Cash Recycling Machine cum ATM’ for paying monthly bills.

As per latest information, BSNL’s CMD Shri Anupam Shrivastava inaugurated the Hitachi Cash-recycling machine at Telephone Bhavan in Shukrawar Peth, Pune. 

Addressing to media he said, ‘Some customers often miss to pay bill because of fix timing of BSNL counters. With these ATMs in place, customers will be able to pay monthly bill during any time of the day i.e rouch-the-clock’. 

BSNL customers can easily pay their monthly bills in cash through Hitachi cash-recycling machines (CRMs) available at BSNL customer service centers can be used as conventional ATMs to withdraw money using valid ATM cards.

The competent authority of BSNL is planned to extend these Hitachi cash-recycling machines in more Customer service centers for further usage ease payment method. However, BSNL providing free space to accommodate Hitachi ATMs in BSNL premises in the coming days. 

Procedure to pay BNNL monthly Bills through Hitachi Cash Recycling Machines (CRM)

• For BSNL customers Hitachi Cash recycling machine (CRM) will provide cash-based bill payment service.
• First Customer have to enter the bill reference numbers through the on-screen interface and deposit cash
• Hitachi machine will accept Indian currency notes of Rs.1000, Rs.500, Rs.100, Rs.50, Rs.20 and Rs.10
• After successful collection of cash customer will get bill payment receipt respectively
• The paid bill amount will be credited online to the customer main account where BSNL officials reconcile the total amount of the credit at the end of the day.
• Customer even can withdraw money using Hitachi machine using a valid bank ATM cards.

BSNL Mobile to launch Online Recharge and Topup for CDMA, EVDO and WLL Prepaid users

BSNL has announced the provision made available for Prepaid users of CDMA, EVDO and WLL to recharge through BSNL Online Portal.

State run Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to launch Online Recharge and Topup facility to its Prepaid CDMA customers through its Official payment portal.

As per latest information, BSNL is allowing Prepaid mobile plans users to recharge or Topups through its Online payment portal. Now, BSNL extended this service to CDMA services which includes – CDMA mobile services, EVDO Data Card Services and WLL (Wireless in Local Loop – Wireless Landline) services.

The company based on customer grievance has decided to facilitate option of recharging CDMA mobile recharges through its Online payment portal along with GSM recharges.

BSNL started this service on pilot project basis it is under testing the service will make available to all customers with in few weeks of time.

BSNL Kerala Telecom appealed all its esteemed customers to make payment of BSNL Landline / BSNL Broadband also BSNL Mobile bills before 31st of March, 2016.

State run Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has issued a press release in which requested its customers to make payment of all monthly bills (Fixed monthly charges/Usage bills) before 31st March, 2016. 

BSNL offering affordable plans tariff and discount to all its valued customers who are under Mobile / Landline / Broadband / WiMax / EVDO / CDMA services. As it nearing to end of Financial year 2015-16 BSNL ahs appealed to all customers to make payment of bills before end of this March month. 

BSNL announced that all category of Customer Service Centers (CSCs) working across Kerala Telecom Circle are kept open on all days including holiday’s upto 31st March, 2016 to received bills and to avoid inconvenience. 

In addition BSNL also urged customers whose services have been temporarily suspended owning to non-payment of dues to make payment and take re-connection immediately.

BSNL already intimated that the bills paying from Online Recharge portal PAYTM will not be accepted. Paytm is not authorized partner to receive bills of BSNL services. 

BSNL customers can also make payment through BSNL Online services like BSNL Portal and through BSNL MY APP.

The BSNL's e-billing ( Portal BSNL ) has reminded great response with many of its customers favoring to pay their bills through Online. 
The company is giving one per cent discount on the bill amount paid Online.

Customer's paying their bills Online before the due date has got tremendous response from so many Circles.  
The interested customers can visit Portal BSNL and click on Landline bill payment and create user name / password. 
The customer has to click individual bill payment and select the Circle . ( Andhrapradesh, Gujarat, Bhihar, Orissa etc.) which they belongs where they can click on pay/view bill option and can make payment and get instant 1% Discount on the total bill amount.
