Help BSNL re-verification by linking Aadhar Number to Your existing BSNL Mobile Number to avoid disconnection

BSNL started its re-verification for all its existing Mobile numbers (Prepaid and Postpaid) linking to Aadhar Number using e-KYC (electronic Know Your Customer) method.

State run Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) according to the DoT (Department of Telecommunications) instructions /guidelines has started linking Aadahr Number with existing BSNL Mobile connection numbers under re-verification (e-KYC) process.

Under re-verification process BSNL asking mobile customers to link their mobile number with Aadhar card to avoid disconnection of mobile services. Hence, BSNL customer may approach any BSNL customer service center or any BSNL channel partner or retail outlet which is having e-KYC facility.

Through Bio-finger print scanner BSNL authorized agents can link existing mobile number with Aadhar number to verify mobile subscriber’s personal identity and address proof digitally under authentication process.


Process for Linking Aadhar number with existing BSNL mobile number
  • Visit any BSNL outlet i.e., BSNL Customer Service Center or BSNL Retailer shop with your Aadhar Number and existing BSNL Mobile connection.
  • Give your existing BSNL Mobile Number to BSNL staff / agent.
  • After entering your details in BSNL's System (BSNL Swift App or BSNL eKYC Application), you will immediately receive a four digit PIN in your existing BSNL Mobile number.
  • Give that PIN & your Aadhar Number to BSNL staff / agent.
  • BSNL staff / agent will ask you to put your thumb on their bio-metric fingerprint scanner. Within seconds, your Aadhar data will be displayed on the screen of BSNL e-KYC App for re-verification.
  • Customers will be asked to verify their Address and other details which will be displayed on their system.
  • After your final confirmation, they will ask again to put your thumb impression on bio-metric fingerprint scanner

After authentication process, a confirmation message will be sent to customer mobile number after 24 hours. Then customer needs to reply with three days to complete the registration by sending SMS to 53734 in format ‘REV YES’ or ‘REV NO’ respectively.

If customer not received any type of re-verification response from BSNL, then it will be treated as ‘YES’ and Aadhaar registration is completed. If response received is ‘NO’ then re-verification is cancelled and customer can do re-verification afresh, Re-verification is allowed only two times in cases of dispute/discrepancy.

BSNL mobile customers (Prepaid and Postpaid) should link up their Aadhar number with existing mobile number to make Digital India which is started by Govt of India.


Check your BSNL mobile number whether Aadhar number linked or Not?

To know the Aadhar registration details customer need to send SMS to 53734 in format ‘REV NAME’

If customer not submitted or linked Aadhar number with Mobile number What will happen?

BSNL authority may disconnect those mobile numbers which are not verified under e-KYC process. To avoid disconnection or retain mobile number mobile user need to re-verify their mobile number with Aadhar number immediately.

Recently IT department also issued instructions to all PAN card holders to link up their PAN card with Aadhar number to submit IT returns. In this connection all existing mobile connection users of any operator should re-verify their Aadhar before 6th February, 2018.

While, BSNL SWIFT app is available for BSNL authorized agents for e-KYC, they can download and verify BSNL customers Aadhar with their existing mobile number.
