BSNL Aseem 99 plan for call diversions from Virtual Landline connections to any number rental charges revised to annual payment scheme in all telecom circles.

Public Telecommunications company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited - BSNL under rationalization of existing Virtual landline connection monthly rental payment charges of Aseem tariff plan has revised with immediate effect in all telecommunication circles.

As per latest information published on bsnl official website bsnl.co.in, the competent authority of bsnl has decided to introduce uniform rates and charge Rs 199/- for 4 months for call forwarding from a virtual landline connection number to any one BSNL or non-BSNL number (other network) depending on the customer's requirement.

In addition to the above revised rates, BSNL has also decided to launch the Annual Payment Aseem Plan for customers who opt for the new connection Aseem Plan. Under new annual advance payment scheme customer need to pay Rs.599/- annual charges with Aseem's virtual landline plan.

BSNL offered differentiated rates for customers who opted for the Aseem plan based on the destination of phone number. If the destination number was BSNL BSNL charged 99 rupees for four months and If the destination number was not a BSNL number i.e other network number, then bsnl charged Rs.199/- for four months.

Is there any hidden charges added to bsnl Aseem VL plan?

No, there won't be any type of hidden charges included in the bsnl Aseem plan of 99.
Customer should note that the above charges mentioned above are exclusive of GST i.e customer need pay additional GST on the total plan charges. 

How to migrate existing bsnl Aseem 99 plan customers to new annual plan

Customers with the "ASEEM" plan for call forwarding to any BSNL number (Rs.99/- for 4 months), can be migrated to the revised plan after their existing 4 month subscription expires.

The revised Aseem bsnl tariff plan will be applicable to all existing customers for migration and for new connection customers from 10 September 2021 in all telecommunications circles. All other terms and conditions will remain the same.

What is bsnl aseem plan and what is a virtual landline number?

The service provided by bsnl in the name Aseem plan, customers can get their virtual landline number in their name and BSNL will not provide physical landline connection at their premises. 

All incoming calls to the virtual landline number will be routed and forwarded to the number indicated by the customers from the date of activation on the basis of customer submit application for for call diversion. 

A customer can choose a BSNL number (mobile / landline / FTTH) or a non-BSNL number (mobile / landline / FTTH) of their choice. The FTTH / copper cable is not required to provide a virtual landline connection to a customer. Customers wishing to take advantage of this facility can prepay the required charges.

Dial to Prefix '0' for all Mobile calls from fixed lines (Landline phones)

Attention landline customers: The dialing prefix "0" is mandatory for all calls from landline (landline) to mobile from January 15, 2021.

In order to ensure adequate numbering resources for fixed line (landline) and mobile resources, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has accepted TRAI's recommendations on changing the dialing model from landline numbers to mobile cell numbers .

According to the latest information under Make in India, DoT has approved the recommendations of TRAI of 29/05/2020 on the prefix "0" to call mobile numbers from a landline. 

This modified dialing model is applicable to all landline (landline) customers in the country making outgoing calls to mobile numbers from January 15, 2021 onwards. 

It means that landline customers must prefix existing 10-digit mobile numbers with '0' while making calls to any mobile number (between inter service areas and intra service area calls to mobile numbers).

What are the five strategies adopted for wireless subscribers?

TRAI has decided to revise the dial-up model in an effort to meet the growing needs of subscriber levels for mobile consumers in the country. In order to ensure an adequate number, TRAI had explored five strategies that can be adopted to meet the future number requirement for wireless subscribers in the country. These five strategies were:

• Unified numbering plan for India
• Create numbering resources by freeing up landline levels
• Compulsory dialing prefix "0" to call mobile numbers from landlines
• Changing mobile numbers from 10-digit to 13-digit numbering data only
• Changing the 10-digit to 11-digit scheme for mobile numbers

Of the five previous alternatives, option three, which is to require the dialing prefix '0' to call mobile numbers from a landline, is the most acceptable solution for all telecom service providers, as this change in the scheme of composition will not cause major architectural changes and databases of the fixed telephone network. 

There will be no changes to the dialing pattern for incoming international calls. There will be no change in the dialing model for local landline to landline calls, which can be dialed without the SDCA prefix. In general, this scheme is less destructive for the fixed line segment. The current allocation and use of SDCA landline numbers is shown in the table below.

"Dialing of mobile numbers in the intra-service area and in the inter-service area from a fixed line with the prefix '0' number".

By simply changing the dialing scheme for landline mobile numbers (landline), we can use levels "2", "3", "4" and "6", excluding SDCA codes for mobile numbers. Even in the case of SDCA codes starting with '2', '3', '4' and '6', the SDCA code with suffix '0', '1', '8' and '9' can be used for the assignment of MSC codes for mobile services. 

This proposed scheme will generate nearly 2.544 million numbering resources for mobile services. Detailed calculations are provided below with explanation: -

If all landline to mobile calls (both within the circle and between circles) are marked with the prefix "0", the levels "2", "3", "4" and "6" can also be used for mobile numbers. It would require all landline customers to have a "0" dial function. No subscriber numbers are affected or any SDCA code is changed. Implementing this scheme shouldn't be a difficult proposition as subscribers must already use "0" to call adjacent SDCAs.

Based on the recommendations above, Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has asked all wirelline (landline) telecommunications service providers to make the following changes to their network by January 15, 2020.

• Calls from landline to mobile will be made with the prefix "0".
• Suitable announcement may be fed in the fixed line switches to apprise the subscribers about the requirement of dialing prefix '0' for all fixed to mobile calls. This announcement should be played whenever a fixed line subscriber dials a mobile number without prefixing '0'.
• All the fixed line subscribers should be provided with '0' dialing facility i.e., STD dialing facility.

If everything goes fine as per the DoT instructions, all landline customers in India need to prefix zero for all outgoing calls to mobile numbers from 15th January 2021 onwards. 

However, there will not be any changes for numbering scheme or dialing pattern for existing mobile numbers in the country. All mobile numbers will continue to be of 10 digit length while M2M numbers (Machine to Machine SIM cards used for IoT applications) to be of 13 digits length.

Public Telecommunications in India, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced that its landline telephone users will now receive 5GB of high-speed data valid for one year. As per latest information published on bsnl official website that the offer is said to be applicable to BSNL landline phones with no broadband connection. The state-owned operator said the high-speed data is available for use on its BSNL Wi-Fi hotspot service. (BSNL Free call forwarding from mobile to Landline telephone)

On a dedicated portal, BSNL claimed to have 34,260 Wi-Fi access points at 26,859 WiFi access points across India. BSNL said that users who run out of 5GB of data will be redirected to a page listing the data plans available for purchase. (Book Landline or Broadband complaints)

5GB of free data offered to the users of bsnl landline plans

The operator announced that landline user near a BSNL Wi-Fi hotspot zone will need to turn on Wi-Fi and select the BSNL Wi-Fi SSID. BSNL stated that the user will be redirected to the Captive Portal where they will have to select the fixed network card on the Captive Portal page.

Also, the psu bsnl said that the user has to enter the bsnl landline number with STD code and press the "Get PIN" option. BSNL said the user must enter the PIN he/she receives in the registered mobile number (RMN). (Free 5GB data with work from home plan)

BSNL landline connection users will be offered 5GB of free data after successful authentication, which according to BSNL will be valid for one year.

In the wise regional break, BSNL pointed out that it has 9855 Wi-Fi hotspots in North India out of 7598 Wi-Fi hotspots. The operator said to have 9,510 Wi-Fi access points in more than 7,900 locations in the west, followed by 9,492 access points in 7,482 locations in the southern region. In its eastern region, BSNL reports having 5,403 Wi-Fi access points in 3,855 locations.

It should be noted that BSNL offers five main Wi-Fi plans in the range of Rs 9 to Rs 69. The basic plan priced at Rs 9 allows users to browse 1GB data with the package valid for one day. The operator offers a Rs 19 package that allows users to browse 3GB data for three days, while the Rs 39 package allows users to browse 7GB data for seven days.

High speed broadband network Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited introduced new one plus one scheme for existing Landline customers offering free landline connection as well discount on voice calls upto 50 percent under Landline services on PAN India basis.

Business telecom and 4G technology provider BSNL has announced launch of new 1 + 1 scheme for present Landline connection customers offering discount from 25% to 50% on 2nd landline phone in all telecom circles under landline segment and implemented with immediate effect on promotional basis for a period of three months.

As per latest information, BSNL recently launched its 4G technology in Karnataka and erstwhile in Kerala circle to compete with new telecom entrant rival Reliance Jio. In this connection BSNL moving strategically in all segments i.e Broadband internet, Landline voice calls and Mobile 4G technology data plans etc.
