BSNL introduces Special POS - EDC Card Swiping tariff plans for merchants in all Telecom Circles

High-speed 3G internet service provider BSNL has announced the launch of Special Card Swiping Machine (POS / EDC Terminal) tariff plans for payment or purchase of goods and services through digital payment across India.

State run Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to support Central Government Digital India campaign has decided to introduce Special tariff plans for payment for sale of good or services through Swiping machine using Credit and Debit cards.

As per latest information, Indian Government encouraging digital payment services for payment of amount through POS / EDC Terminals (Card Swiping machines) at merchant points. In this this connection BSNL is already accepting bill payment through Credit/Debit card at all BSNL customer service centers. To boost customer experience and banking services offering affordable POS/EDC connectivity plans for accepting all credit cards / debit cards towards on the POS terminals due to shortage of hard cash in market at ATM centers.

BSNL provides special tailor made tariff plans for ‘Swiping Machine Economy Plan – 299’ and ‘Swiping Machine Super Plan-499’ for providing connectivity to POS terminals.

The above plans will be implemented with effect from immediate effect and available in all Telecom circles.
